Anastasia Photiou is a digital artist, designer and illustrator with experience in image editing and compositing, children's picturebook publishing, art education, graphic design, website design, digital content production and video editing.
She graduated from Goldsmiths, University of London with a Master of Arts degree in Children's Literature : Children's Book Illustration in 2020 and has since published three children picturebooks and has been nominated twice for the Cyprus National Illustration Awards 2021. She is also a Bournemouth University graduate with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Computer Visualisation and Animation provided by the National Centre for Computer Animation (NCCA).
Her work is inspired by themes surrounding femininity, childhood, myths and nature. She constantly experiments with techniques that combine digital and traditional media to create experiences through 'play and learning'.
Anastasia lives in London, England, but she often travels the world and revisits her home country, Cyprus, and Greece where most of her inspiration is derived for her own stories and fairytales.
