Anastasia Photiou is a digital artist, designer and illustrator with experience in image editing and compositing, children's picturebook publishing, art education, graphic design, website design and video editing.
She graduated from Goldsmiths, University of London with a Master of Arts degree in Children's Literature : Children's Book Illustration in 2020 and has since published three children picturebooks with local publishing houses and has worked as a digital art teacher for teenagers and young adults both locally and virtually. She is also a Bournemouth University graduate with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Computer Visualisation and Animation provided by the National Centre for Computer Animation (NCCA).
Her academic research interests at MPhil/PhD level within Gender Studies and Sexuality with specialised focus in Illustration and Image include topics such as gender bias, intersectionality, feminism, women artists, LGBTQ, sexuality and sensuality, censorship.
Anastasia lives in London, England, but she often travels the world and revisits her home country, Cyprus, and Greece where most of her inspiration is derived for her own stories and fairytales.
